People for Dialogue;

Who We Are

A safe space for holding open conversations and enriching perspectives, in a step towards making the world around us more inclusive.

About Us

People For Dialogue is an initiative that came into existence in 2017, to facilitate conversations about the various difficult and so-called ‘taboo’ topics in our society; to bring about a change in the narrative. To unlearn stereotypes and prejudices, and brave the fear of the unknown, through open, sensitive and sensitising dialogue.

Vision

To move towards inclusivity in society, by asking the right questions

Why We Do What We Do

A lot of times, our lack of understanding and perspective about the unknown results in a fear of the unknown, and sometimes turns into a fear of the unknown. And that leads to problems like prejudices, and non-acceptance. More often than not, the people we misunderstand and misjudge are just like us, with a desire to live a normal life and be perceived as such.

People For Dialogue aims at bridging that gap. We believe that by bringing our questions to the table with the desire to learn and be sensitive, we can build a more accepting and inclusive world.

PROJECTS

Support Groups (for Covid-19 related anxieties and concerns)

Due to the Covid-19 pandemic, we have all had to go through immense stress, and drastic mental and emotional readjustments. One way or the other this outbreak has affected all of us. Some have lost their loved ones and families, some have had to grapple with isolation, and some their jobs/livelihood. From fear to anxiety to grief, we have had to go through a gamut of painful emotions.

For a lot of us, the lockdown did not only cause physical and social distancing, but also mental and emotional isolation. With the threat of us or our loved ones contracting the virus, almost constantly looming over us, we have all sought comfort and support systems in some form.

Our support groups (for participants across age groups) are an initiative to provide safe spaces for people to talk about the various covid related/caused concerns and anxieties that they are dealing with.

Support Group

It all begins with an idea. Maybe you want to launch a business. Maybe you want to turn a hobby into something more. Or maybe you have a creative project to share with the world. Whatever it is, the way you tell your story online can make all the difference.
